Depending on the location and projected path of the fire, as well as ground conditions, several roads in the project area may need to be temporarily closed to all traffic except for evacuees.
If Del Puerto Canyon Road needs to be closed, closure points should be set up at both ends of the road in the project area: at the Stanislaus County Line on the west end and at the junction with Diablo Grande Parkway on the east end.
If only Diablo Grande Parkway needs to be closed, a hard closure point should be established at its junction with Del Puerto Canyon Road, allowing traffic to access Del Puerto Canyon Road but not Diablo Grande Parkway.
For Oak Flat Road, a hard closure point should be set up at the intersection with Diablo Grande Parkway, and a soft closure point should be established at the intersection with Sperry Road to allow residents access to their property while preventing access to Diablo Grande Parkway. If necessary, a hard closure point may also be established at the intersection of Oak Flat Road and Sperry Road.
